Side Hinged Garage Doors: A Great Alternative

02/06/2015 At Cooks Blinds, we fit a wide range of doors for businesses and homeowners all over East Anglia and one of our popular markets is rented property (landlords) and social housing. We recently installed 50 side hinged steel garage doors for a landlord in Suffolk. Side Hinged Garage Doors Before we installed the side hinged doors, these garages were fitted with timber doors but were rotting away and needed constant painting and repairing. The client decided our side hinged steel garage doors would be a great replacement. Our side hinged doors are manufactured by Garador and are extremely robust, making them a great alternative. The new steel doors have a 10 year guarantee so there is no need for repainting or repairs. Garador's traditional side hinged garage doors are reliable and provide simple personal access to the garage. They open outwards and are manufactured with equal sized leaves, with the right hand leaf leading as standard. The doors are equipped with two shoot bolt latches for extra security and weather seals on three sides of the door. These side hinged garage doors are available in steel or timber, and as you can see in the photo below, the client chose steel in the 'Carlton' design. There are other door styles available, including:

• Georgian
• Beaumont
• Beaumont with windows
