Fire Shutter Installation in Colchester

Our shutters department installed a raspberry red fire shutter in Colchester, providing a smart and safe protective barrier between a kitchen and canteen. The automatic shutter is wired to the site’s alarm system, self-closing to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. 

The 3500mm x 1500mm shutter provides security to the premises whilst closed, and in the event of a fire the Flameshield 120 will provide an essential barrier to prevent the spread of fire throughout the building. 

Operated with a wall mounted keyswitch for ease of use by staff, the unit has a battery backup in case of a power failure. Wired to the alarm system, the shutter will close automatically under a controlled descent activated by relay. The shutter was completed with a safety brake, compliant with BS EN 12604/12605, ensuring the safe use of the shutter at all times. 

The powder coated Flameshield 120 commercial fireshutter is designed to not only be an effective barrier against the spread of fire, but also to provide a secure barrier for kitchens and receptions. Tested at the Warrington Fire research centre and installed by our experienced team, the shutter is an ideal choice for commercial premises and public buildings to meet all fire and safety regulations without compromise on aesthetics.
