Folding Arm Awnings for Pub and Community Centre

Nestled quietly on the right bank of the River Yare is one of Norwich’s many fine pubs. The Ribs of Beef is known as the City’s Favourite Local. And a friendly welcome awaits all visitors, whether they are in search of a quick thirst-quenching local ale or settling down for the famous Sunday roast.  

The Ribs has some outside seating overlooking the river, and they recently decided to upgrade the shade that they offer to those choosing to sit there. Cooks Blinds and Shutters was contracted to supply and install three electrically operated Weinor Cassita folding arm awnings, with a standard frame colour paint finish and a deep red acrylic awning from Weinor fabric collection with matching straight valance.

Joanna Dale, shift manager at The Ribs, said:

“Our riverside tables have always been popular, but the terrace can be a real suntrap! It’s great that we can now offer customers the chance of a bit of shade! We were so impressed with the installation team and their efficient work and we love how easy to operate the electric motors are!”

That wasn't the only awning installation we completed this week. Another of our installation teams was at the Poringland Community Centre. Where we installed two more electrically operated Weinor folding arm awnings. In addition to the usual features these also included automatic wind sensors that withdraw the awnings in poor weather.
