Folding Partition Door for Sheringham Primary School

Sheringham – the jewel of the North Norfolk coast. With its stunning beaches, vibrant community, and picturesque charm, it’s no wonder this seaside town is a beloved destination. Cooks Blinds and Shutters is proud to have contributed to improving the educational facilities of the local community by installing a state-of-the-art folding partition door system at Sheringham Community Primary School.

Commissioned by Norfolk County Council, this project involved the supply and installation of two Multifold Sigma Centrefolding top-hung acoustic folding partition door systems. These doors are designed to create versatile and flexible spaces, perfect for a busy school environment. The configuration for this project included single wing stacking to one side, with five and a half panels in each door. These panels are 70mm thick and alternate panels lock into place using an espagnolette locking bolt. The final panel functions as a single communicating door.

To ensure a practical and aesthetically pleasing solution, the panels were finished with a melamine laminate from our standard range and complemented by SAA aluminium trims. With a sound reduction rating of 42dB(Rw), these doors also provide excellent acoustic insulation.

The specific dimensions for the two doors were as follows:

• Door 1: 4735mm wide x 2150mm high
• Door 2: 4740mm wide x 2160mm high
